If you are learning, I recommend using Tri-X. If you shoot color, use 400 ISO to start. Buy 36 Exposure rolls.

POCKET LIGHT METER for iPhone costs $10.99, but it takes a reference photo and sends all the settings to your phone photo roll. Extremely useful if you are learning photography.

To develop film at home you will need:
Film tank and reels
Liquid Thermometer that accurately measures temperature at 68F/20C.
Scissors and Can Opener
COMPLETELY dark room or changing bag
1 gallon jugs (3-5). If you store them in a dark place, you can use old water jugs.
