Black Women Photographers: Kai Tsehay
THIS MONTH, WE ARE PARTNERING WITH BLACK WOMEN PHOTOGRAPHERS (BWP), A GLOBAL COMMUNITY AND DIRECTORY OF BLACK WOMEN AND NON-BINARY PHOTOGRAPHERS, FOUNDED BY POLLY IRUNGU.
BWP’S GOAL IS TO PROVIDE CONSISTENT, PROFESSIONAL, AND MORE OPPORTUNITIES FOR BLACK WOMEN PHOTOGRAPHERS IN THE INDUSTRY, AS WELL AS BE A RESOURCE FOR INDUSTRY GATEKEEPERS LOOKING FOR EMERGING AND MORE ADVANCED TALENT.
Kai Tsehay is a Creative Entrepreneur and Freelance Photographer. She is Spelman Alumna and originally from Washington, DC, and currently working between Atlanta, GA, and New York City.
Since 2016, Kai’s work mainly consists of BTS and music photography. She has captured the likes of many music artist such as Killer Mike, Trouble, 2 Chainz, Mike Will Made-It, Michelle Williams, Amiyah Scott, Dinah Jane, Westside Gunn, Rico Nasty and many more.
She hopes to inspire and create opportunities for Black Women Photographers in her community.
