Satellite Art Show Miami 2024
Miami is a fuckin vibe.
We’re very proud of the show we presented this year at Satellite Art Show and we’re looking forward to hanging it on our walls back in Brooklyn for the rest of the year!
In our lives, we encounter countless moments of ambiguity and suspense, spaces where certainty dissolves and we're left navigating a delicate, suspended reality. The photographs in this exhibit delve deeply into these universal experiences, capturing the emotional charge of waiting, wondering, and existing between two possible outcomes. These images evoke that visceral sensation when the world feels like it's paused mid-breath — the moment after the coin has been tossed, but before it hits the ground.
Through compositions both raw and intimate, each piece brings forth the sensation of living with paradox, embodying the thrill and agony of anticipation, the beauty of vulnerability, and the tension of uncertainty. These photographs reveal the human psyche's ability to hold excitement alongside dread, hope mingling with fear, and resolve entangled with doubt. In these works, dualities coexist, reflecting the complexity of our internal landscapes when we’re suspended between decisions, dreams, or even destinies.
More than just documenting moments, the artists reveal the intensity of these in-between states, inviting us to confront and linger in those spaces we often rush past. In this way, the exhibit becomes a mirror, offering a powerful resonance with our own experiences of limbo, and giving voice to the unspoken tension that defines so many pivotal moments of our lives. They ask you to pause, to sit in that suspended breath, and to feel the full weight of what it means to live in the undefined.
It has been an honor to present this selection of works at Satellite Art Show during Miami Art Week 2024 and we are looking forward to bringing them home and displaying them in our gallery in Brooklyn at the Bushwick Community Darkroom for the remainder of the year!
